There’s a verse:
“If you do away with the yoke of oppression,
with the pointing finger and malicious talk,
and if you spend yourselves in behalf of the hungry
and satisfy the needs of the oppressed,
then your light will rise in the darkness,
and your night will become like the noonday.
Isaiah 58: 9-10
How does ETI prepare for its donor, partner, supporter meetings that characterize the fall and spring and end of year? We pray. ETI is not a religious organization but is made up of people who are inspired by their faith and who humbly admit that there is no way any of the accomplishments of ETI and partners would be possible without divine inspiration, guidance and help.
We readily acknowledge that we have some amazing connections to organizations, individuals, associations, businesses, institutions and groups. Those connections bring us into new areas of growth and are central to the advancement of ETI and its initiatives. But they are by no means ‘enough’. Behind most persons and each endeavor is a foundation of faith, prayer and guidance.
This foundation allows us to become like the noonday sun.
