Steve is an Environmental Scientist with over 30-years experience in developing business within renewable energy, water resources management, hazardous waste and environmental pollution industries. He received his B.S. degree from St. John's University in Minnesota and his Masters from the University of Wisconsin. Steve is currently Vice President of EVS Engineering.
Prior to EVS, Steve was Director of Business Development for the Solar & Emerging Renewables Group of Mortenson Construction, President of Heritage Transport, the hazardous waste transportation company of Heritage Environmental Services in Indianapolis, was Executive Director of the Minnesota River Basin Joint Powers Board, Water Resources Manager for Bonestroo and Associates, and was instrumental in two start-up companies in renewable energy.
Steve learned about the needs of Tanzania from Jan, his spouse of over 30-years when she returned from her 2008 trip to Karagwe, TZ. Upon hearing of her discoveries, Steve helped Jan provide curricula for the Bweranyange Girl's Secondary School in Tanzania, visited Karagwe in 2010, helped conduct a needs assessment, accepted a role as KARUCO Ambassador, and helped co-found Educate Tanzania. Since that time Steve has been instrumental in moving ETI forward in its mission to ‘bring water, nutrition, health and education to developing communities internationally'.
