David Willey

Dr. Willey was instrumental on ETI's first Board of Directors. He helped conceptualize the charter, develop policies, fund initiatives and establish relationships with our Tanzanian Partners. He was key in developing the foundation for ETI. He has been honored with an ETI Outstanding Leadership Award and along with his family, has hosted many ETI events.
Dr. Willey has practiced medicine in Chaska since 1979 where he is an established advocate for family health and a solid coordinator of complex health systems. Dr. Willey has served three terms as Chief of Staff at St. Francis Regional Medical Center, has served on the Board of Directors of both the Medical Center and its Foundation and is currently the medical director of the Dakota Clinic of the Mdewakanton Community.
He was a member of Chaska Rotary for 15 years and twice was a Paul Harris Fellow. Dr. Willey’s spiritual life is vibrant and he is a member at Immanuel Lutheran Church where he participates in the music ministries of choir and serving as assistant organist. He likes to be home with his wife Rachelle and enjoys time with his two adult children – Nate who is a nurse and Sarah who teaches in China. Dr. Willey also enjoys time as an avid gardener specializing in flowers and roses.
