The ETI Board was pleased to welcome Dave Rothschiller at its October Board of Directors meeting. Dave brings passion, skill and humor to the group and is eager to help carry out the ETI mission.

Dave Rothschiller joined the ETI Board of Directors following a “chance meeting” with Steve Hansen, Co-founder of Educate Tanzania.  The story is long, and worth sharing but suffice it to say that both Dave and Steve chalk their first encounter up to Divine Intervention! Dave will come alongside Steve and serve ETI as Assistant Major Gifts Officer.

Dave retired in 2024 after 43 years as an executive in the healthcare field.  He served as the Executive Director for St Paul Heart Clinic for 29 years before assuming a similar role in the anesthesia market prior to becoming the CEO of St Paul Eye Clinic since 2016.  Dave received a bachelor’s degree from Concordia College in Moorhead, MN, and his MBA from St Thomas. Dave is also a Fellow in the American College of Healthcare Executives.

Dave and his wife Jody hail from Rugby, ND, have 3 sons, 3 wonderful daughters-in-law and 4 spectacular grandchildren.  They are members of Easter Lutheran Church in Eagan.  In his spare time, Dave enjoys spending time with his family, biking, hunting, golf and helping with Jody’s brothers on the family farm.
