Educate Tanzania Inc (ETI), EVS Engineering, Karagwe Diocese (KAD) and RESCO Solar teamed up to design, fund and install the KARUCO Solar Array and Battery Storage System. The system is connected to the grid, end-user training is complete, and negotiations took place to sell back power to the utility. The array is comprised of 62 Tier One modules (panels) to produce 25kW of electricity to power up KARUCO’s campus and water delivery system. The battery storage system allows staff and students to have light for work and study at night and have access to reliable power during off-hours.
