KARAGWE 2019 DAY 2

KARAGWE 2019  #2

KARAGWE TRIP TO REFINE DESIGN PLANS FOR RURAL OPPPORTUNITY CENTERS

January 27. ETI is enroute to Karagwe for the Karagwe 2019 Summit. Visit this blog to hear and see the latest from ETI.

I (Jan) arrived in Amsterdam early Sunday morning after a smooth flight from Minneapolis.

Many thanks to Steve Hansen for the gift of earphones with great noise cancellation. Long about hour four I lost most of my compassion for the wailing toddler.

Yet—no complaining when a flight brings me half way across the globe safely with the bonus of being well fed.

I will meet up with Bruce Engel shortly. Last we saw each other was during the ETI Exchange Tour this past November. We will land in Kigali tonight (Sunday evening) and will be in Karagwe Monday evening. We look forward to the back to back 8-hr flights to be complete and a good rest at our hotel in Kigali. Mostly, we look forward to seeing our Tanzanian partners and to moving the project forward. Thanks for following along.

Follow along with this ETI blog. ETI will do its best to keep folks updated via the website blog, FB and Twitter. Note: This is different than years past. Travelblog, the site ETI used in the past, has deleted participants’ photos (!!) so ETI lost its visual archive for our past trips. To spare further frustration, we house our travel programs on our own blog and invite readers to visit the website to follow along and get all the details.
