Project FURSA: “Opportunity” in Swahili

The communities of Karagwe were surveyed by the University of Minnesota and KAD’s team and requested that ETI assist them in building a food processing plant. Their hope is to turn their tasty crops into value-added products that, when sold, increase incomes for KARUCO and area farmers. Increased incomes bring more resources for medicine and education and greater family stability. Another critical goal is to include women in the revenue streams to ensure gender equity in this rural area. Take a look at the progress! Work began after the ETI/KAD Summit in January, 2024 and look at it now! This is transformation before your very eyes.

Project FURSA brings hope and a plan for the families of Karagwe.
