The ETI/KAD Summit in Karagwe (January 22 – 26) will be a welcome event on many levels.
- First – ETI gets to reconnect with friends and partners and just plain catch up on friends and family.
- Second – we get to tour the KARUCO campus, visit staff and students on campus, observe classes, interview those enrolled in the programs, visit the farm plots and livestock centers and just plain catch up with personnel and their programs at KARUCO.
- Third – ETI will lay its eyes on the KARUCO Solar Array and Battery Storage that powers up KARUCO.
- Fourth – Imagine our excitement as we visit new MEL Program businesses that were started with Micro-Enterprise-Loan (MEL) funds. We can hardly wait to interview KARUCO grads and mentors.
- Fifth – ETI embraces KAD’s top priority which is to stand up the juice processing plant. We look forward to time with the architects, engineers and construction teams to align plans.
- Sixth – Be grateful. It’s been four years since our last visit and we’re eager to just plain catch up with our partners and their families and friends and hammer out details with our mutual goals and plans. Productive and fun times ahead.
