ETI Presents at the MCN Tech Conference on February 21st!
The True Cost of Technology (7:30am – 8:45am)
Jan B. Hansen, President/C.E.O., Educate Tanzania, Inc. and Eric Johnson, Director of Technology and Operations, GoKart Labs
Nonprofit leaders today are faced with an unnecessarily complex and seemingly never-ending ecosystem of technology solutions. They are often uncertain what to purchase, when to purchase, and how much to invest. Adding to the problem is a lack of realistic discussion around the underlying costs required to ensure success. We will discuss how you can find the right technology partner(s), identify the necessary jobs to be done and build your technology infrastructure using an iterative approach. You will learn how to avoid over-architected solutions and will learn how to build a realistic technology roadmap that best aligns with your organization’s current and future needs. As part of this presentation we will provide access to a 1) partner selection template and 2) a technology road-mapping tool that allows you to document your current state, immediate next steps, and long-term goals.

About the MCN Tech Conference
The 2017 Nonprofit Communications & Technology Conference is the place to go to learn new things, old things and new ways to do old things. You’ll dive into nonprofit strategies for everything from branding to cloud computing, from podcasting to crisis communications and much, much more. This is one conference you don’t want to miss for the latest and greatest in all things nonprofit communications and tech.
R.T. Rybak, president and C.E.O., The Minneapolis Foundation
Let’s talk about communicating your message in an era where the best way to shape a message is to not shape it at all. Old media, social media and whatever is coming next.
Our keynote speaker, former Minneapolis mayor, R.T. Rybak, is currently the president and C.E.O. of The Minneapolis Foundation. R.T. will talk about communications and social media use in complex organizations and how communications strategies can unify stakeholders, build momentum and create energy for change.
