It’s fun! Come WALK (or run) with ETI on August 7th. We love when new folks join us. And all funds from the 2016 event will be used to support the design and build of “Opportunity Centers” in rural Karagwe. ETI introduced Opportunity Centers in June and shared how the centers will provide a place for KARUCO grads and local farmers to implement new technologies and practices that they learn in KARUCO’s programs. Registration for the 5K is just $25. Can’t make it that day? Be a Gazelle and register anyway. Enter the name GAZELLE (and then your last name) so we know we won’t see you (we’ve never seen one of those either).
We’ll be sure you get your cool t-shirt!
In 2015 the race sponsored by Victory Lutheran Church of Eden Prairie brought in over $3,000 to ETI. All proceeds from the race helped finish the water harvesting system at the KARUCO campus in Karagwe, Tanzania. Underground and roof piping was made possible with funds from this fun event. This means that instead of walking 4-7 miles per day to fetch water, girls will be able to attend school and participate in tasks to better their lives. Think what we can do this year!
Take a look below and locate your walking, strolling, pushing a stroller or running spot. You won’t be sorry. All ages invited. This is a fun way to encourage health, fellowship and giving back. Don’t miss out.
